Mr. Ronald Edward (Marcucci) Prior

PRIOR, Ronald Edward (Marcucci), age 69, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:00PM Saturday, November 2, 2013 at St. Roberts Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Interment will follow at Flushing Cemetery, Flushing. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-9PM Friday, November 1, 2013 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. A rosary will be prayed 6:00PM Friday at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Ronald was born January 31, 1944 in Gloversville, New York the son of the late Silvio Marcucci and Madowoise Dykeman. He married Pamela Pindur on November 7, 1969 at All Saints Catholic Church, Flint. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving three duties during the Vietnam War. Ronald was previously employed by Hurley Medical Center as a Junior Medical Technician and was a member of St. Roberts Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, visiting the casino and spending time up north at Lake Leelanau. He was the chief fixer around the house, was interested in astronomy and watching old western and war movies. Ronald was a devoted husband, a loving father who was always willing to support each of his children in any way he could. He dearly loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them as often as possible. He will be missed dearly and remembered forever.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela; children, Mark and wife, Lori Prior of Lansing, Michelle Baumgart and husband Thomas of Williamston, Jennifer Prior and fiancé, Nikie Oleyar of Flushing; grandchildren, Jaelynn, Eden, Ethan Prior and unborn baby Baumgart due in April; brother, Vaugh Prior and wife, Vickie of Mattawan; several nieces, nephews and loving members of the Pindur family.
