Ron Diamond, 79, of Palm Coast, FL. passed away on September 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 1, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late John and Evelyn Diamond (Stidham). As a young man, he served 4 years in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Once he was honorably discharged from the service he went on to own and operate the Sinclair gas station in Maryland. Ron always had a love of cars. He then went on to work as an auto body specialist specializing in customization. He began raising his family in Maryland but in 1992 he moved them to Palm Coast where he went on to work for Tom Gibbs Chevrolet as the Body Shop Manager and later as an auto damage appraiser. His memberships included the Lions Club in Maryland and the Otter Point Yacht Club. Ron enjoyed golf, boating, fishing and cooking. He will be remembered for his superior Puerto Rican cooking skills. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carmen; children, Michael Diamond, Denise Diamond, Rosa Maria and her husband Jeremy Chambers; grandchildren, Amber, Randy, Gary Charles, Annabel, Jack, Melissa and her husband Adam; 2 great-grandchildren, William and Michael; sister, Carole Anne Parks; brother, Gary Diamond and many more loving relatives and wonderful friends such as Luis and Monica Parga and their children Antonio and Rebecca. In lieu of flowers at his grandson's Jack request, donation may be made to The American Cancer Society.
