Peter Anthony Lagana, 82, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on October 8, 2022. He was born on November 27, 1939 in Trenton, New Jersey to Chester and Carolina (Connie) Lagana. He graduated from Newark Academy and attended St. Anselm College, Manchester, NH. He married the love of his life, Nancy Jean Currie on February 4, 1961 during a terrible blizzard and together they raised 3 children in mostly in New Jersey. Peter started as an Electrical Apprentice in 1959. He worked for Pennsylvania Railroad and CONRAIL retiring in 1996 after 39 ½ years of service as the General Superintendent of Car Inspection & Repair (CI&R) at 6 Penn Station. He and his wife then moved to sunny Palm Coast, Florida. Peter enjoyed working on cars and in turn purchased a gas station and repair shop, Chet & Mike’s Shell, located in Daytona Beach.
He also enjoyed his bowling league, watching crime dramas, and attending car shows, especially Woody’s Wednesdays; But his greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Frank Lagana. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Nancy Jean; children, Lorraine Lagana, Chet Lagana, and his wife Carol, Mike Lagana and his Fiancé Annie Conrad; Grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew, Peter, John, Domenic, Vincent, Christyn and Skylar; mother, Carolina (Connie) Lagana; sister, Maria-Stella Mosesian, her Husband Kenneth; niece and nephew, Connie & Christopher and many more loving relatives and wonderful friends.
A memorial gathering for Peter will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
