Mr. Lobdell was born April 22, 1932 in Newark, New Jersey, a son of Edward and Mary Dwyer Lobdell.
Myles graduated from Central High School, then was drafted into the United States Army, serving in Korea. After his honorable discharge in 1954, he worked a short time for NCR. Myles went to work for Eastman Kodak in 1966, where he worked for 25 years, retiring in 1991. He was very artistic, and enjoyed painting water colors and oil paintings. Myles also enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and fixing cars. Overall he was a handyman, and could fix anything. Another hobby he had was model airplanes and taking photos, and was an excellent photographer.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Patricia Ann Schmidt, whom he married September 26, 1971. Four children, John (Heather) Lobdell of Broadheadville, PA., Thomas Lobdell of Califon, NJ., Lori (Michael) Matturro of New Hope, PA., and William Lobdell of Sarasota, FL. Three grandchildren, Katie, Kyle and Brett Lobdell. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, Linda Lobdell, John D’Lorenzo, Anthony D’Lorenzo, Bob Lobdell, Deborah Lobdell, and James Lobdell.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Arthur Lobdell, Thomas Lobdell, and Mary D’Lorenzo, and his niece, Lori D’Lorenzo.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
