Mary Ann Ahearn, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 62, after a lengthy battle with kidney failure. She was predeceased by parents Lee W & Marilyn J Ahearn, sister Karen McGann (Ahearn) and her brother Kevin Ahearn. Mary Ann leaves behind brother James Ahearn, his wife, Amy and their 3 children Hannah, MacKenzie and Spencer.
Mary Ann was a fierce advocate for persons with disabilities as evidenced through her career at Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System where she served as Program Director. Through her career she was recognized for her many efforts and her strong determination to get the job done well. She firmly believed all children can succeed.
Mary Ann was also a woman of strong Catholic faith. Mary was very active in Santa Maria del Mar where she managed the music ministry for many years. She assisted her father Lee Ahearn with efforts to fundraise the money needed to build the current church. In recent years she became a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Palm Coast. Many will remember how she used her life in service to others; how she lived out her catholic beliefs in a powerful and meaningful way. She will be missed and in our memories forever.
