Francine Battista

Francine was born Francine Gillen on May 21, 1942, in Newark, NJ, to Frank and Helen Gillen. She grew up in New York City and graduated from Aquinas High School. Throughout her career, Francine worked in administrative roles at several companies in New York. She raised her family in Ossining, NY before retiring with her husband Paul to Palm Coast, FL.

Francine is survived by her beloved husband, Paul; her children: Karen (Tom) Moran of Kingwood, TX; Edward (Maria) Battista of Carmel, NY; and Dawn Marie (Alex) Garcia of Kingwood, TX. She is also survived by eight cherished grandchildren - Kaitlin, Emily Francine, Julianne, Alyson, Daniel, Alex, James and Cameron; and one great-grandson, Enzo. In addition to her parents, Francine was predeceased by her sister, Arline Sullivan.

Francine enjoyed spending time with her family, going on vacation cruises and Biloxi casino trips with their good friends as well as dancing to her favorite oldies.

Arrangements are under the care and trust of the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home in Flagler Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Francine’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, at 11:00 AM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, located at 915 North Central Avenue, Flagler Beach, FL 32136.
