Jack Miller 91, of Palm Coast (formerly of Woodstock, VA) passed away as a result of an automobile accident on February 16, 2019 at the Community Hospice Bailey Center for Caring in St. Augustine. He was born on October 30, 1927 in Washington, D.C. to the late Dewey Brook and Eloise Miller (Bagby). As a young man he served in the United States Army during peacetime. Upon his honorable discharge from military service he spent the rest of his working years as a Central Office Technician for Bell Atlantic/C&P Telephone Company and retired after 45 years of service. His memberships included the American Legion in Woodstock and the Woodstock United Methodist Church. Jack enjoyed gardening and woodworking but his greatest love was being with his family. He will always be remembered for enjoyment of having a good old fashioned conversation. Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Miller. Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Alice; sons, Larry and his wife Vickie Miller; Mike and his wife Kathy Miller; grandchildren, Jason and his wife Shena Miller, Kelly and her husband Mike Keyes, Adam and Scott Miller; great-grandchildren, Angelina Paraskevas, Natalia and Gabriel Miller. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date when Alice and Jack are together again. Donations in his memory may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
