Bernard B. Segal 92, also known to his friends as “Buddy or Bugsy” passed away with his devoted wife at his side on March 20, 2023. He was born on September 12, 1930 in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the late Herman & Lillian Segal. Bernard served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Miami. He started his career in sales.
He worked for Sea Views Awning in Miami. He then also worked for The Lever Brothers and Revlon. Bernard then went into his own business in Health & Vitamins. After retirement he was able to enjoy his hobbies such as playing tennis where he was a member of the Indian Trails Tennis Club in Stuart, FL. He loved music and was instrumental in reestablishing the local opera club in Vero Beach, FL. but his greatest passion was traveling with his wife on his 42 foot fishing boat named “Grand Final”. They traveled through the Panama Canal ending up in Costa Rica where he loved to fish. Donations in his memory may be made to Advent Health Hospice Care. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald Segal; sister-in-law, Renee Segal. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Margie “Pidgee”; sons, Mitch, Scott and Randy Segal; step-sons, Todd (Elaine) Deehl, Mark (Rochelle) Deehl, Richard Deehl; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; nephew, Dan (Dani) Segal; neice, Margie Segal and many more loving relatives and wonderful friends.
