Mary Elizabeth Harrah passed away at age 70, on October 16th, 2022. She was surrounded by her loved ones at Charleston Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 11th, 1952, in Leivasy, West Virginia to Eugene and Freda Hizer. She married the love of her life, Michael Wayne Harrah on September 5th, 1970.
Mary (and Mike) owned and operated Crystal Water Pools, where she would conduct the day-to-day business. Her and Mike worked hard to provide for her family, and she loved every minute of it. Outside of working, Mary enjoyed traveling with her husband, she was a lady who loved to fish, she loved gardening as well as cooking for those she cared about, and on a game night you’d catch her watching WVU play. She would never turn down a good book, playing games on her iPad and recently, her grandchildren even convinced her to use snapchat to send silly pictures to keep up with their lives! Mary and Mike raised their beautiful children in Oak Hill, WV. She truly loved spending time with her family but especially her grandkids. She was always known for being the best “nanny” to her grandchildren, all who looked forward to her cooking, going to her house to visit, and spoiling them every chance she got.
Mary was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, an incredible nanny, caring sister, and amazing friend. She will be truly missed by all. The memories of her will remain in the hearts of those who cherish and love her, they will live on forever.
Mary is survived by her husband Michael “Mike” Harrah; her 5 children and their spouses. Chris (Brent) Brash, Tara (Kevin) Dolin, Michael Harrah Jr, Jessica Harrah, and MyKenzie Stallone.
