Ernestine Carol Olsavsky

Ernestine was born to Charlie and Roberta Thomas at Kaymoor #2, Fayetteville WV. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Olsavsky, and parents, all of her brothers and sisters: John, Joe, David, Mary, Ruby, Lois, James, Ralph, Hester, and Nola. Also, several nephews: David, Denny, Gary Dean, James, and nephew in-law Eddie.

She is survived by her loving family, special nieces Laura “Robbie” Withrow, Charity Henderson (Clark Callis); Nephew Larry Thomas, and nieces Melanie Peddicord, Regina Jenson, Sharon Reisler, and the children of Robbie and Charity; great nephew Shane Withrow (Holli), and children Kayla and Belle; Great niece Amber Withrow and daughter Amira; great nephew Zane Mahan. Also, the Ho family and numerous other family and friends that meant the world to her.

Ernestine was our beloved Aunt who shared a smile and kind word to each and every person who crossed her path. Her kindness touched everyone who met her.

She was more a mother and grandmother than an aunt. She was an avid Willie Nelson fan, chocolate and ice cream lover. She enjoyed the beach and made Christmas the most special occasion. She taught 2nd grade and felt each of her students were special. She was a coal miner’s daughter and enjoyed the forests of WV, where she always felt at home.

Funeral services for Ernestine will be held on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022, at 1PM at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will follow afterwards at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
