Bill was born in Atlanta, GA to William F and Ora W Wagner on February 12, 1925. He went to high school at West End HS in Nashville, TN. He then graduated from Baylor University in 1945 and from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1950 with his Doctor of Theology.
He served at seven Baptist churches during his 40+ year ministry.

- W. Forrest Wagner was born in 1960 while serving in Opelika
• Pastor at the Centreville Baptist Church in Centreville, VA
• Associate Pastor, Minister of Music at the First Baptist Church of Herndon, VA
• Pastor at the Grace Baptist Church of Alexandria, VA
He retired from the ministry in 1989 and founded Telos Ministries where he served as the director which supported prisoners in 34 states.
Bill is preceded in death by his father, William F Wagner, his mother, Ora White Allison and his wife Mary Platt Wagner.
Bill is survived by his son W. Forrest Wagner, his daughter-in-law Laurie Wagner, and his three grandchildren, Forrest Wagner, Brooke Wagner and Ridge Wagner.
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday June 4, 2022 at 11:00 AM
Visitation with family will follow at the conclusion of the service.

A private burial will be at the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Nashville, TN.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Baptist World Alliance in Bill's honor.
