IN THE CARE OF
National Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Toan Ngoc Le was born in Saigon, Vietnam on July 1, 1942. She devoted her life as a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
She was the eldest of the nine siblings. She attended Marie Curie High School and Caritas, where she earned her certification to teach French. On October 30th, 1965, she married a young handsome Army officer Thanh Do Vo, who served in the South Vietnamese military. When she was twenty five, she became a mother.
After the Vietnam War, Toan had to rebuild her life in the new homeland. She and her eldest daughter, Thuy Phuong, moved to the United States in 1991 to reunite with her husband and youngest daughter, Thanh Phuong. In her new homeland, she continued to teach French at a community college for a few years. Recognizing the grace received from the Buddha, she took refuge into the Buddhism in 2001 under “Phap danh Thien Phuoc”. Toan means complete. As her name imposes, Toan found her quiet life complete and content when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and traveling with her grandchildren.
Toan went home to Buddha on October 11, 2014, rejoining with her late father Le Tien Du, and youngest sister Bach Lien. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Le Tien Du, her husband Vo Thanh Do, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. She will be remembered with great love by her oldest daughter Thuy Phuong and her husband Edward Nhon and their children Elizabeth, Christopher, and David; her youngest daughter Thanh Phuong and her husband Luat and their children Tim and Le Anh; her brother Hiep and his wife Thuy Nga and their children; her sister Paulette and her husband Khanh and their children; her brother Tai and his wife Kim Huong and their son; her brother Tho and his son; her brother An and his wife Tam and their children; her sister Bach Hue and her husband Tieng and their children; and her youngest brother Thanh and his wife Hien and their children.
A memorial service is held at the National Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA on October 17, 2014 at 12 noon EST. A cremation is held following the memorial service at the funeral home.
