Norbert Brenner passed away quietly October 26, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born in Cologne Germany on September 1, 1924. A Holocaust survivor, his family relocated to Rome Italy where he spent his childhood years. In 1938 his family immigrated to Washington DC. His family owned Brenner Photo on Pennsylvania Avenue for two decades. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947.
He was predeceased by his wife Ruth Sternheim Brenner who died in 1964.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Barbara Brenner of Arlington, Virginia; a son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren Paul, Sara, Alec and Autumn Brenner of McLean, Virginia; and a brother and sister-in-law Berthold and Margaret Brenner of Leisure World, Maryland.
A private service will be held at the Hebrew Home in Rockville. Interment will follow at the King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church on October 29, 2013 at 1:00 pm..
