Nargis Manekji

Nargis was born in Allahabad, India to Dilshad and Framroze Patel on September 23rd, 1929. She went to school at St. Mary’s Convent School in Allahabad. She married Dinshaw Manek Manekji on June 7th, 1954 in Mumbai, India. She graduated from Darver’s College of Commerce in Mumbai.

Nargis worked as the chief officer of the Supply Billing Department for Xerox Corporation at the Mid-Atlantic Headquarters for 22 years and won many accolades for superior departmental performance under her leadership by Xerox Senior Corporate Management.

Nargis, her husband and son were members in the Zoroastrian Association of Metropolitan Washington.

Nargis is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dinshaw Manek Manekji who passed in September 2010.

Nargis is survived by her one beloved son: Raiomand (“Ray”) Dinshaw Manekji; sister, Perviz R. Mancherje of Alexandria, Virginia; nephews: Dr. Cyrus Mancherje of San Francisco, Dr. Noel Mancherje of Glen Cove, New York and niece: Ms. Roxanne Bridger of Hopewell, New Jersey as well as many great nephews and nieces.

A memorial service is planned and a separate announcement will be provided at a later date.
