Hello, 

My name is Erin. I worked with Kevin at Glasgow Middle School 3 years ago. I just heard this news and my heart hurts for
Kevin’s family and loved ones. 

I wanted to share a memory I have of Kevin. Kevin was always so kind to me. There were times when I had to remove some students from my class for safety concerns and Kevin had always showed up to my classroom to support me with this. He was always calm and helpful and there for me. Picturing Kevin’s face and tone now brings a smile to my face. He was a blessing to Glasgow and anyone who had a chance to work with him or know him. 

My condolences go out to the family and loved ones. May Kevin’s beautiful spirit live through us all. 

I share my condolences with Kevin's mom, Tias, Tios and cousins.  He worked with me at Glasgow Middle School and did a great job with the students.  I was an IA with him and worked in the ACE room, where students were sent to when they had a hard time in class.  Sometimes I needed a break and Kevin was more than happy to cover for me.  When I would come back to the ACE room, he was still smiling, even with the most challenging of students.  

He was a very present figure at school.  After school, working as security.  He helped get a special needs student out for me to the bus at the end of the day all with handling all of the students who needed to get out on time.  He was patrolling the hallways as school support and would get the students out when they were difficult.  He was an IA in my classroom and I remember this memory very distinctively - he came in dressed as a cowboy and brought 2 large bags of candy to give to the students.  He had the biggest smile as he brought them in and had a way of encouraging my students, the most difficult ones.

I am sad to see him leave this physical earth.  I saw him slowly disconnected at the end of the school year, a couple of times sleeping in class, which was never like him.   When I would check on him, he would say he hadn't slept well.   Then he stopped coming to my class.    
We talked on the last days of school and he shared that he wanted to get another job although he loved the students, he, like me, needed more money.  We talked about my stress about going back to school and he encouraged me to do what I need to do.  He encouraging a "vieja" like me with a peaceful smile.  

Descansa en paz Kevin.  :(  Un abrazo fuerte a toda su familia.  El vivira en sus recuerdos, en sus corazones y en el amor que compartian.
