Joseph Robert Koons

Joseph Robert Koons, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 27th, 2018. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 50 years, Nancy Ann Koons, his ten cherished children and their spouses, twenty-three precious grandchildren, two caring brothers, a loving sister, four brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Born January 25th, 1946, to his beloved late parents, John and Eleanor Koons, Joe was a humble man who enjoyed watching sports, reminiscing with old friends, spending time with family, but most importantly being with his wife, Nancy. He grew up in Falls Church, Virginia, graduated from Bishop Dennis J. O'Connell High School, and earned a degree from the College of William and Mary. He served and supported these academic institutions over his lifetime. He had a long career as a successful automobile dealer and businessman. He valued his employees, customers and community. He gave in countless ways and touched the lives of many individuals. His legacy of modeling Christ through generosity and love will always be remembered. A Visitation to honor the memory of Joe Koons will take place Saturday, June 9th, 2018 between 2:00-5:00pm at McLean Bible Church, Community Room C, Entrance 1, located at 8925 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, Virginia 22182. A funeral mass will be held Monday, June 11th, 2018 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church located at 8601 Wolftrap Road SE, Vienna, Virginia 22182.
