I am thinking of Hannah and each of you as we come up to a year since Hannah's passing. I pray that the family continues to heal over time and that you have small moments of joy. You are loved and being held in the hearts of many.

Since Bill called, my heart has been broken at the passing of Hannah.  Mary & my thoughts have been with you both and with Kathryn and Ryan as you walk this path.  At the time, I was at Family Church Camp and a group of us four Praise Song singers were learning a song called, “Thanks God for Kids” by the Oak Ridge Boys for the talent show.  We prayed, cried and laughed as I told them Mahach stories and fond memories. We decided to dedicate our song to Hannah because she was magic and a special kind of sunshine, as are Kathryn and Ryan. I know that Hannah, is on a rocket ship to heaven, as Pastor would say.  While it's a long way to Washington State, our thoughts bring us immediately to you. I am incredibly grateful that I was able to get to know her when she and her sister signed up to go on the Splash Into Science trip when they were at Kilmer Middle School. When I had finished all my homework and piano, I would immediately go to your house to see if Hannah was there.  It pains me to know that I won't be doing that any more. Roger and Family - you have my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beautiful Hannah. I wanted to share a poem that I hope will help comfort you in these difficult days ahead and let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. 

We follow a pathway that has no end 
 as we travel through life day by day. 
 Together with those who are dear to our hearts 
 and are there by our side, come what may 
 But sometimes a loved one must travel ahead

I didn't know much about Hannah outside of soccer, but my dad would always come home after every practice I missed and tell what Hannah had asked about my music that day. I miss her so much, and I wish you all the best in the coming days.
