Eileen F. Honeycutt

Entered the well deserved gates of Heaven Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was born at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D C on April 30, 1941 to Dowe Ashton and Maude Arnold Foster of Arlington. In addition to her parents, Eileen was pre deceased by her husband Billy Lee Honeycutt in 1970.
She leaves behind her three children; Lee Ann Henderson (David) of Stafford, Lynne E. Honeycutt of Falls Church and Brian L. Honeycutt (Lynda Hammack) of Goochland, VA. Three grandchildren; Brandon Honeycutt, Amy Honeycutt, and Mikayla Henderson. Five great-grandchildren; Carsyn, Penelope, Odin, Landon, and Raelynn and two sisters Barbara Eastridge of Fairfax and Kay Hinson of VA Beach, as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends she embraced during her lifetime.
Eileen grew up in Arlington and graduated from Washington-Lee High School class of 1959. She then entered King’s Business college in Raleigh, NC where she met her future husband. She was a resident of Falls Church for 60 years. Eileen was a kind and generous woman with a big heart whose favorite times were centered around her large family and friends at the beach, Riverhouse, and traveling.
She was a member of Bruen Chapel UMC, Westlawn Garden Club, VA Women’s Association of Bowling, and an avid member of a neighborhood Bunco group for more than 50 years. She worked for D. A. Foster Trenching Co. for over 25 years.
She battled multiple types of cancer four different times over a period of 25 years.

Visitation is Friday Feb.4th 2-4 and 6-8 and Celebration of Life is Saturday Feb 5th 12:00pm at Murphy’s Funeral Home of Falls Church 1102 W Broad Street, Falls Church, Va 22046 https://wwwDignitymemorial.com.
