Cynthia Kramer passed away on November 8, 2014. A resident of Leisure World, Silver Spring, MD she was born on April 28, 1928 in New York City. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Justin Kramer; daughter Deborah Kramer, her son Jeffrey Kramer; his wife Lisa Abbin; her granddaughter Suzanne Kramer and sister Lila Lerner. She resided in Bridgeton, New Jersey for 40 years before moving to Maryland. In 1970, she broke the glass ceiling in southern New Jersey when she became the comptroller for Seabrook Brothers Frozen Foods. This was an unusual and significant accomplishment for women of that area. She worked with distinction there for three decades. She volunteered at her local synagogue in New Jersey for numerous temple functions. While residing in Leisure World she briefly served on the Board of Directors for Fairways North and volunteered in the community library. Throughout her life she enjoyed a number of crafts and was skilled at sewing and knitting clothes for family members, and upholstering furniture. A graveside service took place on November 10 at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
