Born in Fall River, daughter of Joan I. (Cleary) Pingley of Fall River and the late Thomas J. Pingley, Jr., she was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of the Former Bishop Gerard High School, class of 1977, and the Massachusetts Police Reserve Intermediate Academy in Westport.
Mrs. Stallman was a Police Officer for St. Anne’s Hospital for several years. Prior to that she was a Lieutenant for Swansea Mall Security for several years, a Corrections Officer for Old Colony Penitentiary in Bridgewater and a Fall River Constable.
She was a member of the Massachusetts Senior Action, loved her family, was especially devoted to her grandchildren, and loved traveling and dining.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother: one son Gregory T. Pingley of Rumford, RI, one daughter: Stephanie E. Oliveira, father-in-law David H. Stallman, godmother and aunt Noreen Pingley, “Mimi’s” five grandchildren: Devon, Heavenly, Thomas, Alexander, Evan, and several nieces, uncles and cousins.
Her Funeral will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 at 8:00 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by her Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Spring St., Fall River. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm. Burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903.
