Shirley Ann Rego

Shirley Ann (Bartlett) Rego, age 73, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of Joseph C. Rego Jr. to whom she had been married 49 years.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Alice (Raposo) Bartlett and the late Ralph Bartlett.

Shirley worked as a Supervisor for Aetna Insurance Company for 35 years until her retirement in 2004.

A former member of Tiverton Methodist Church, Shirley had a very close network of friends and above all, enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.

Besides her devoted husband, she is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Jo Rego Cordeiro and her husband Ricardo J. of Fall River; grandchildren, Brandon Lee and Brittany Ann Cordeiro; step-children, Joseph C. Rego III and his wife Amy of Somerset, Richard Rego and his wife Renee and Cynthia Ritz, all of Fall River; step-grandchildren, Chace Rego and Jennifer Ritz as well as several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River. Visitation will be held on September 6, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
