Patricia Ann Lown

Patricia A. (Domina) Lown, age 87, of Fall River, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Richard T. Lown to whom she has been married for the past 68 years.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Carroll) Domina, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

A graduate of Sacred Hearts Academy, Class of 1949, she also graduated from the Thibodeau Business School. Mrs. Lown retired from the Fall River School Department after 22 years, prior to that she worked as a bookkeeper for Lown Painting and the Coca Cola Company. She was a former member of Altrusa International, Fall River Garden Club, Sacred Hearts Seniors, Westport Yacht Club and Baker’s Beach.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Richard H. Lown and his wife Moira of Wellesley, MA, Christopher T. Lown of High Point, NC, Carroll A. T. Lown of Fall River, Mitchell J.T. Lown of Fall River; two daughters, Nanci A. Dunlop and her husband Milton of Warren, RI, Audra A. Callahan and her husband Joseph of Fall River; fifteen grandchildren, Anna, Chloe,Tabitha, Peter, Benjamin, Alex, Kacie, Jackson, William, Talbot, Madison and Reiley Lown, Jefferson Connelly, and Abigail and Catherine Callahan, one great-grandchild Cameron Lown and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Peter G. and David T. Lown and sister of the late Maureen Gray and Peggy and Caroline Domina.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 8:30AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Bernard’s Church, 34 South Main St., Assonet, MA. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4 to 8PM. Burial is private. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Fall River Garden Club, P.O.Box 443, Fall River, MA 02722.
