Born in Fall River a son of the late Joseph F. and Dorothy (Harding) Cassidy he was a longtime resident of the city.
A graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical School, Class of 1976, he went on to work as a Traffic Manager for the former American Dryer, now Whirlpool, for many years. A big music fan, he also enjoyed the beach, time spent in Florida, Nascar and watching the New England sports teams.
He is survived by two daughters, Sarah Cassidy and her fiancé Michael Sousa and Rachelle Cassidy and her boyfriend Colton Medeiros, both of Fall River; one brother, Thomas Cassidy; aunt, Sister Mary Faith Harding, RSM; many nieces and nephews and his cat, Jerry. He was the brother of the late William Cassidy.
His Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River with a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM.
