Born in Fall River a daughter of the late Manuel Teves and Sanarina Braz (DaSilva) Carreira she was a lifelong resident of the city.
A member of the Third Baptist Church, she was a devoted servant to the Lord spending much of her free time handing out gospel tracts. She most cherished her time spent with her family.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Tammy Daponte and her husband Louis, Robin Faltermeier and Ambrosia Boyd; three grandsons, Richard Andrews, Thomas Andrews and his wife Jeanne and Andrew Boyd; one step-daughter, Constance Alger; eight great-grandchildren, Justin Andrews, Stephanie Ferland, Joshua Lemieux, Jacob Lemieux, Samantha Andrews, Louie Daponte, Jesse Andrews and James Andrews; four great-great-grandchildren, Kaylee Souza, Kamdyn Lemieux, PJ Cochran and Giuliana Lemieux; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Elaine M. Andrews and Alan Boyd and sister of the late Delia Miranda and Jil, August, Manuel, Alfred, Joe and John Carreira.
A private service will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River. Contributions in her honor may be made to Third Baptist Church, 260 Stafford Road, Fall River, MA 02721.
