Marilyn Halliwell (Platt), age 90, passed away peacefully at Brookdale Sakonnet Bay in Tiverton Saturday, May 13, 2017. She was the wife of the late William E. Halliwell.
Born in Fall River a daughter of the late Francis R. and Gladys (Lancaster) Platt she lived in Barrington, RI for 35 years before relocating to Tiverton.
She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and will be fondly remembered as a quiet and kind woman.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Halliwell and his wife Theresa of Fall River; and a nephew, Alyn H. Platt. She was the mother of the late William Alyn Halliwell and sister of the late Alyn Platt.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visiting hours prior to service from 9:00 – 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Prospect St., Fall River.
