Marie L. Reba

Marie L. (Accettullo) Reba, age 70 of Dighton, formerly of Fall River, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the wife of the James J. Reba to whom she had been married for 43 years.

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Germaine A. (Talbot) Accettullo, she was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Bridgewater State College. Mrs. Reba was employed as Educator in the Fall River School Department for 33 years until her retirement in 1999.

She was a member of the National and Fall River Educators Association and the Massachusetts Teachers Association. An accomplished watercolor artist, she was a member RI Watercolor Society, Fall River Art Association and the Westport Art Group. Mrs. Reba was a member of Bakers Beach Club in Westport; she enjoyed cooking, and would volunteer her time reading to preschoolers after retirement.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Meredith Reba Azevedo and her husband Dr. Keith Azevedo of New Haven, CT; a brother Robert J. Accettullo of Fall River and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Alma G. Rossi.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 9AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by her funeral mass at 10AM in St. Joseph’s Church 1335 North main St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4 to 7PM. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the American Heart Association, MA Chapter, PO BOX 417005, Framingham, MA 02241-7705.
