Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Pelligrino and Assunta (Siravo) Cetola, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
Known for her hospitality and vibrant personality, she was an excellent and avid Italian cook, a loving spouse, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a hairdresser for many years at the Cherry and Webb Beauty Salon and later taught cosmetology at the Fall River Beauty Academy. She volunteered at the Charlton Memorial Hospital Gift Shop for over fifty years and was a member of the Charlton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
She enjoyed time with her family, Baker’s Beach and vacations in Captiva Island, Florida.
She is survived by two sons, Judge Joseph I. Macy and his wife Paula of Fall River, Michael J. Macy and his wife Diane of Swansea; three grandchildren, Peter J. and Stephanie J. Macy both of New York, NY, Joshua I. Macy; two great-grandchildren, Matthew T. and Theodore F. Macy; two sisters, Lucille Lawlor and Dori Andrews; one brother, Joseph Cetola all of Swansea and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Matthew J. Macy and sister of the late Edith Farnham, Carmella Banks and Louisa M. Chamberlain.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 9:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday from 4:00 to 8:00PM. Flowers welcome or contributions in her honor may be made to the Matthew J.
