Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late George F. and Roseanna (Champeaux) Blood and was a lifelong resident of this city.
Always a hard worker and dedicated employee, he worked as a bulldozer operator for the former New England Power in Somerset, retiring in 1998 after 19 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and enjoyed camping and saltwater fishing. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Ronald “Ronnie” Blood and his wife Denise of Fall River; his daughter, Holly Blood of Fall River, his daughter-in-law, Deborah Oliveira of Fall River, his grandchildren: Kenneth Blood, Jr, Kerilyn Blood, Jeremy Blood and Krystal Sousa; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Kenneth A. Blood and brother of the late Alice Lemay, Dorothy Gonsalves, Geraldine Silvia, George Blood and Arthur Blood.
