Dirce C. Reis

Born in Tarcento, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Letizia (Marcuzzi) Zantaforni.

Dirce worked for the Fall River School Department as a Home Economic tailoring teacher for 20 years before retiring in 1982.

A longtime communicant of Holy Name Church, Dirce was a former member of the Fall River War Bride’s Club as well as the Fall River Women’s Club, and in her spare time enjoyed sewing and traveling back to her native Italy.

She is survived by one daughter, Paula Camera and her husband David of Coventry, RI; five grandchildren, Thomas Reis, Carolyn Romano, Michael and Peter Camera and Emily Goglia; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dirce was the mother of the late Walter J Reis.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 9:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St, Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
