Claudette (Levesque) Raposa, age 68, of Coventry, Rhode Island passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Kent County Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Richard Raposa Sr. to whom she has been married for fifty years.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Evelyn (Henry) Levesque, she was a lifelong resident of Fall River prior to moving to Coventry a year ago.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, she worked as a Bus Monitor for Tremblay’s Bus Company for many years. An active communicant of Saints Peter and Paul Parish at Holy Cross Chapel she served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Claudette enjoyed watching sports, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Richard Raposa Jr. and his wife Sheri of Hudson, FL; Cheryl Mattos and her husband Frank of Sauderstown, RI, Kevin Raposa and his wife Rachael of Wiesbaden, Germany; seven grandchildren, Paige Raposa, Alexia Mattos, Erin Raposa, Brooke Mattos, Olivia Mattos, Jacqueline Mattos and Jaxon Raposa as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 9:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St. Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in the Holy Cross Chapel, 47 Pulaski St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
