Viola R. Garcia, age 75, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 8, 1948 to Baldemar Ramirez, Sr. and Maria Garcia Ramirez in Falfurrias, Texas. Viola was employed by the Falfurrias Housing Authority as a Housing Manager for over 35 years. In 2016, she retired and enjoyed spending time with her family and lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Her beaming smile showed how she never complained and always saw the positive and good in every person and situation.
Viola is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Esteban Garcia, Jr.; brothers, Baldemar Ramirez, Jr. and Baltazar Ramirez and sister, Virginia R. Garcia.
She is survived by her three daughters, Ana Lisa Garcia, Ramona Garcia, and Angela Garcia all of Falfurrias; brothers, Juan (Rosalinda) Ramirez of Adkins, Texas, Luis (Lita) Ramirez of Premont, Texas, and Gilbert (Ida) Garcia of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Belia (Ovidio) Gutierrez of Falfurrias and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Mora, Lucas Mora, Ernesto Gutierrez, III, Baldemar Ramirez, III, Baltazar Ramirez, and Luis Ramirez, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Cinco Alegria and Colten Martinez.
Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
