Rene H. Cruz

Rene H. Cruz entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 3, 2023 at the age of 72. He was born on June 26, 1951 to Herman Cruz and Eva Hinojosa Cruz in Falfurrias, Texas. Rene was employed in merchandising at local stores. He was a hard worker and his family meant the world to him. He had a love for animals, a passion for fishing and his smile could light up any room.

Rene is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Esther Cruz.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Jane Rodriguez Cruz; sons, Rene Cruz, Jr. (Amy Loera) of Kingsville, Texas, Roel Cruz (Amanda Moore) of Houston, Texas and Jaime Abel Rodriguez of Crystal City, Texas; brothers, Herman Cruz, Jr. (Irene) of Redding, California, Hector David Cruz (Susie) and Jose Santiago Cruz (Gloria) both of Kingsville; sisters, Maggie Nobbie of College Station, Texas, Anita Garcia (Joe) and Norma Moralez both of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren; and Tinkerbella, his favorite Chihuahua.

A Memorial Visitation for Rene will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
