Omar “Mickey” Galvan Jr., 77, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at his residence in Hebbronville, Texas. He was born on February 12, 1946 to Omar Galvan and Velia Trevino in Hebbronville. Mickey was well known for his famous jokes and after many years, retired from helping his parents with the family restaurant.
Mickey is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ademar Galvan and Mario Galvan and nieces, Yesenia A. Galvan and Yamile A. Galvan.
He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Norma Galvan and Pauline Galvan both of Hebbronville; nephews and nieces, Ademar (Nancy) Galvan Jr., Lizette G. (David Lee) Henry, Bernadette G. (Helio) Chapuseaux all from Laredo, Texas; Mario A. (Laura) Galvan all of San Antonio, Texas and numerous, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins and extended family.
Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24,2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville and services will conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
