Nora Lisa Vargas of Corpus Christi, Texas and formally of Falfurrias, Texas, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 56. She was born to Dalia Martinez on August 8, 1965 in Alice, Texas. Nora enjoyed attending church at Sovereign Grace Community Church of Corpus Christi and was a strong believer in her faith. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She loved plants and hummingbirds.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Beatriz Munoz; grandson, Jayden Mata and stepfather, Juan Zuniga.
Nora is survived by her husband, Valentin Vargas of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Annette Renee (Ruben Trevino, III) Hernandez of Kingsville, Texas and Patricia Ann Hernandez of Corpus Christi; four sons, Tito Alonso (Rubi) Hernandez, Jr. of Bishop, Texas, Jeremiah Jacob Hernandez of Bishop, Gabriel Isaiah (Callie Lynn) Hernandez of Corpus Christi and Valentin Vargas, Jr. of Corpus Christi; mother, Dalia Martinez of Falfurrias; brother, Noel (Josie) Martinez of Premont, Texas and sister, Esmeralda Garza of Falfurrias and 15 grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias, Texas with Visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m.
