Michael Cory Thompson

Michael Cory Thompson, age 53, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Portland,Texas. He was born on May 20, 1970 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Jim Thompson and Thelma Linda Najera Russell.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Thompson and sister-in-law, Melisa G. Flores.

Cory, as his wife would call him, lived life to the fullest. He was a loving, friendly and caring person who was always willing to help someone in need. Hunting and fishing were his passion.

Cory leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be treasured by his wife, Analiza Guerrero-Thompson of Hebbronville, Texas; mother, Thelma Linda Russell and stepfather, Brian Kent Russell of Portland; sister, Cari Thompson (Johnny) Hinojosa of Aransas Pass, Texas; granddaughters; nieces, Brianna(Charles) West, Ally Hinojosa; mother-in-law, Elena A. (+Juan Antonio) Guerrero; brother-in-law, Juan E. Flores; sister-in-law, Lydia (Victor) Mendoza all of Hebbronville; brothers-in-laws, Jaime(Alexa) Martinez of San Antonio, Texas, Javier (Candie) Martinez; nephew, Jace Martinez all of Hebbronville and other relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 with Visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. with a Memorial Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
