Maria Inez Ruiz, 95, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her residence in Hebbronville, Texas, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 19, 1928 to Jose Ignacio Vallejo and Vicenta Marquez Vallejo in Crestonio, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ruben Ruiz; daughter, Maria Concepcion Chavera; grandson, Raul Castaneda, Jr. and siblings, Roberto De Leon, Consuelo De Leon, Dominga Gomez and Manuela Martinez.
Maria leaves many fond memories that will forever be treasured by her children, Valentina Hernandez, Ruben Ruiz, Jr. (Anacelia), Rosabel R. De Leon all of Hebbronville, Eliza Bauman of Jourdanton, Texas Ricardo Ruiz of Pearland, Texas, Maria San Juanita Ruiz (Eugenio Loredo) of Hebbronville, Jose Ignacio Ruiz (Rosalinda) of Alice, Texas, Raul Ruiz (Nancy), Rodolfo Ruiz, Javier Francisco Ruiz and Victor Alberto Ruiz (Sandra) all of Hebbronville; 30 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren and many extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Ruiz, III, Raul Ruiz, Rodolfo Ruiz, Jose I. Ruiz, Javier Ruiz, Ricardo Ruiz, Saul E. Ruiz and Jose I. Ruiz, Jr.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville and services will conclude with Burial at New Hebbronville Cemetery.
