Lucinda L. Perez passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at her residence in Mirando City, Texas at the age of 68. She was born on May 10, 1956 to Anselmo Laurel, Sr. and Hortencia Palacios Laurel in Laredo, Texas. Lucinda was a homemaker and for most of her adult life, she volunteered her time to the local Community Center helping the elderly. She loved playing “Chalupa” and Bingo and she enjoyed traveling and watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Spending time with her children and her grandchildren was something she cherished. Lucinda was a loving, kind and sweet person who always wanted to help where she could.
Lucinda was reunited in Heaven with her father; husband, Pablo Luciano Perez, Sr.; grandson, Rocky Perez and nephew, Omar Cantu.
Lucinda will be missed deeply by her mother, Hortencia P. Laurel of Hebbronville, Texas; sons, Pablo L. (Melissa) Perez, Jr. of Mirando City, Leonardo Perez of Mirando City, Sergio (Oralia) Perez of Hebbronville, Liandro O. (Criselda) Perez of San Antonio, Texas and Josiah Isahi Perez of Laredo, Texas; brothers, Anselmo (Dora) Laurel, Jr. of McAllen, Texas and Martin (Tina) Laurel of Hebbronville; sisters, Genoveva (Rene) Guerra of Hebbronville, Janie (Orlando) Cantu of Oilton, Texas and Elizabeth Laurel of Hebbronville; paternal aunt, Olga (Joe) Cortinas of San Antonio; maternal aunt, Flora Cruz of Darien, Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Honoring her as Pallbearers will be Pablo L. Perez, Jr., Sergio Perez, Liandro O. Perez, Josiah I. Perez, Anselmo Laurel, Jr. and Martin Laurel.
Rosary will be prayed 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation to begin at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mirando City and services will conclude with Burial at the Magnolia Cemetery in Webb County.
