Lorenzo “Lore” Vela, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 60. He was born on August 1, 1961 to Lorenzo Vela, Sr. and Cruz Rodriguez Vela in Falfurrias, Texas. For the past 20 years, Lorenzo was employed as a Ranch Hand for John Hall. He loved hunting and fishing and was a loving father and brother. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He is preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Lorelisa T. Vela.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his two sons, Diego Omar Vela and Lorenzo Vela, III both of Falfurrias; sister, Diana (Robelin) De Leon of Falfurrias; two nieces, Adriana (Albert) Castellano and Cynthia Mata; nephew, Eric (Priscilla) De Leon; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; companion, Priscilla Villarreal and her children, whom he loved dearly, Norma, Amber, Jordan and Jeremiah.
Pallbearers will be Hector Villarreal, Tommy Castellano, Albert Castellano, Eric De Leon, Freddy Trevino and Hector Mata, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Galindo and Jordan Reyes.
Rosary will be prayed at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with Visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Rosary will be livestreamed on our funeral home website through our Facebook page. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias and services will conclude with Burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
