Jesusa L. Gonzalez passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the age of 102. She was born April 30, 1919 to Cristobal Lopez and Jesusa Canales Lopez in Falfurrias, Texas. Jesusa graduated from Falfurrias High School and went on to A&I University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree. She was an educator for 39 years before her retirement and taught in Jim Hogg County and Brooks County.
Jesusa is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arturo G. Gonzalez and siblings, Arturo, Liquito, Chuyito, Elida, Manuela, Aurora, and Benilde.
She is survived by son, Arturo David Gonzalez and her daughter, Lida Ann Gonzalez both of Falfurrias.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with a Burial at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
