Florana “Flo” Pineda, or as her family knew her, “Nanie”, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 11, 2024 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 53. She was born on September 29, 1971 to Leonel M. Pineda, Sr. and Maria Guadalupe De Leon Pineda in Falfurrias, Texas. Florana was a graduate from the Class of 1990 at Falfurrias High School. She later attended A&I University in Kingsville, Texas until she began working with the Falfurrias Housing Authority. Flo was the Section 8 Manager and dedicated over 30 years of service.
Nanie was a very friendly person who always had a smile on her face. She loved to dance and watch ASMR videos on YouTube. Spending time with her family and her dog, Chiquita, gave her great joy. You would always find Flo with a handbag and beautiful costume jewelry that she loved to wear. Her love for life was undeniable and she will always be remembered for her charismatic ways.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonel and Maria Pineda.
Florana is survived by her husband, Scott Allen Strunk of Falfurrias; brother, Leonel Pineda, Jr. of Falfurrias; sister, Norma Salinas of Premont, Texas; niece, Miranda Salinas of Premont; her pet dog, Chiquita and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m.
