Esperanza Fewox

Esperanza Fewox entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at a nursing home in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 87. She was born August 25, 1937 to Alfonso Martinez and Maria Benavidez Martinez in Falfurrias, Texas.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion L. Fewox; children, Eddie Cox, John Cox and Danny Cox; stepchildren, Marion Fewox Jr. and Sandra Bradshaw and her siblings, Raymundo Martinez, Israel Martinez and Aurora Martinez.

She leaves behind her sons, William (Linde) Fewox of Houston, Texas and Thomas (Toni) Fewox of Spring, Texas; daughters Rebecca (Leo) Hinojosa of Premont, Texas, MaryAnn (Chuck Rosales) Cox of Bulverde, Texas and Carmela Cox of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Consuelo Lopez and Dora Villarreal both of Falfurrias; grandson whom she helped raise, Jacob (Ashleigh) Flores and ten additional grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont with Burial to follow at the Premont Cemetery.

Special appreciation is expressed to the staff, medical team, administration and nurses for Lonestar Ranch Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kingsville for their many years of care for Esperanza.
