Dora T. Garcia, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 26, 2022 at a hospital in Houston, Texas at the age of 90. She was born on October 8, 1932 to Domingo Tovar and Antonia Ibarra Tovar in Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Renulfo “Fito” Garcia; siblings, Andres Tovar and Maria Tovar; granddaughter, Marissa De Los Santos and son, Angel Bocanegra.
Dora leaves behind many precious memories that will forever be cherished by her daughters, Juanita (Juan) Garcia of Beeville, Texas, Dora (+Mark) Boyd of Alvin, Texas, Raquel Garcia of Houston, Veronica (Marco) De Los Santos of Eagle Pass, Texas, Gilda (Sidney) Castillo and Gisela (Daniel) Salinas both of Houston; brother, Salvador Tovar of Mexico; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Juan Garcia, Sidney Castillo, Daniel Salinas, Marco De Los Santos, Mark Boyd and Christian Castillo.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville and services will conclude with Burial at Greenhill Cemetery.
