Our beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, Cynthia P. Gonzalez, was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on Friday, April 3, 2020 at the age of 64. She was born on June 19, 1955 in Hebbronville, Texas to Genaro and Edna H. Perez. Cynthia enriched the lives of many students at Hebbronville Elementary School before her retirement in 2005, after 30 years of service. After her retirement, she found much enjoyment in spending time in her garden and with her five grandchildren who loved her very much. During her time here on earth, she cultivated many life-long friendships, of which there are truly too many to list. She also held very near to her, her many cousins who she regarded as siblings.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents. Cynthia leaves behind her husband, Dr. Humberto Gonzalez of Hebbronville; daughters, Melissa (John Eric) Salinas of Hebbronville, and Dr. Alissa (Juan Luis) Hernandez of San Antonio; grandchildren, Madison Salinas, Jenna Salinas, Jackson Salinas, Cory Hernandez, and Charlotte Hernandez.
