Mr. Swalley retired as a Steamfitter with 50 years membership in Local 439. He was a lifetime member of the Caseyville Lions Club as a Melvin Jones Fellow for his humanitarian services to the Lions Club International Foundation.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, getting together with the Breakfast Club of brothers and uncles and spending time with his grandchildren. Grandpa Curley will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janiece, nee Roustio, who passed away April 13, 2009; his parents, Carter and Alpha, nee Meng; a sister, Cassie Lutz., and a mother-in- law, Rosedelle Roustio, nee Laudermilk.
Surviving are his children, Laura (Victor) Boulicault, Gary Swalley, Terry (Sharron) Swalley, Barry (Linda) Swalley, Frank (Judy) Swalley and Bill (Ann Marie) Swalley; sisters, Alpha (Bill) Thomas and Darlene Zagroba; brothers, Ray (Joel) Swalley, George (Carol) Swalley, Byron (Sandy) Swalley, Marshall (Dana) Swalley, Vernon (Teresa) Swalley; sister-in-law, Lucille Bennett Roustio; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; dear nephew, uncle, great uncle and cousin
