Patricia worked as a line assembler for Switzer’s Licorice for over ten years and also at GMAC for a little under ten years. She enjoyed gardening and planting, a variety of beautiful flowers and plants. She especially loved flowers in the spring time due to the new colorful blossoms. Patricia’s family often joked that she had a pretty swift niche for playing the slot machines, and that she also believed that her musical iconic crush, Elvis Presley, was indeed still alive. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and truly cherished being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Patricia will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death were both of her parents; Charles and Dorothy Kovalski, nee McGuire; her son, George Charles “Sonnie” Kovalski, and her sister in law, Mariela Kovalski.
Surviving to cherish her memory are; her loving daughter, Donna (Jeff) Baer, of Caseyville, Illinois; her granddaughter, Peggy (Timothy) Russell; her great grandchildren, Chad Baer, Courtney Baer, and Benjamin Rensberry; her brother, John Kovalski; and her bestfriend, Mary Loomis, and a number of dear friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Lung Association. Additional condolences and expressions of memories can be made at www.lakeviewfuneralhm.com
