With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jessica (Jessie) Lynn Savage. She was taken from us at the young age of 39, on September 30, 2024, from cancer and other health complications. Born and raised in Caseyville Illinois and a graduate from Collinsville High School, she had an unwavering commitment to church and community that touched the lives of many. She brought joy and light into our lives with her incredible heart and radiant smile.
Jessie had an extraordinary ability to connect with everyone she met, leaving a lasting imprint on their hearts. Her positivity and infectious humor could light up any room, turning even the most mundane moments into cherished memories. Her strength was a beacon of hope, inspiring everyone around her. Jessie’s presence was a gift, and her legacy of warmth and genuine connection will continue to inspire and uplift us all. When you met Jessie, you met a friend for life.
She spent many years working at the YMCA in the before and after school care program, and as of late, at her dream job as a Host at the Enterprise Center. Regular ticket holders often sought her out for a “High Five” and a “Go Blues” due to her avid enthusiasm for all things St. Louis Blues.
Jessica was preceded in death by her father, Thomas T. Savage Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Christina Savage; sister, Amber Savage; aunts, Carol Smith, Doreen Besserman, Denise Howard and Kathleen Kleier Jones Howard; and uncles, Thomas Howard and Brian Howard.
A visitation celebrating Jessie’s phenomenal life will be held at Lake View Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4-8pm. An additional visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 10-11am with a Celebration of Jessie’s Life Immediately following, at Grace Church East Location, 4701 IL-111 Granite City, IL 62040.
