Mr. Knapp proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and the United States Army from 1957-1959. He was a handy man who built and rehabbed his home (twice) and rehabbed others. He enjoyed searching his genealogy and being with his friends, but his most cherished moments were those spent with his family. He was a dedicated and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
David is preceded in death by his parents, David Francis and Ruth, nee Hutchings, Knapp, Sr.; one brother, Ronald Knapp, in infancy; and two sisters, Joyce Grab and Rosalee “Mickey” Hutchings.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia, nee Grab, Knapp; his two daughters, Teresa Crouse and Lisa (Chuck) Cange; seven grandchildren, Robert (Nikkilina) Crouse, Elizabeth Cange, Stephen (Eileen) Cange, Ryan (Moli) Crouse, David Cange, Angela Cange, and Timothy Cange; eight great-grandchildren, Abigail, Lindsey, Amy, Julia and Madeline Cange, and Reagen, Matthew and Ryleigh Crouse; two brothers, Leland (Mary) Knapp and Harry Knapp; one brother-in-law, Donald Grab; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
