Darryl Blackston

Darryl worked 40 plus years as a mechanic and enjoyed hunting and all types of cars. He was a loving husband to Sharon for 56 years, an avid animal lover especially to his dog, Little Bit, and father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis "Blackie" and Rose, nee Ulch, Blackston; and his wife, Sharon, nee Jines, Blackston.

Surviving are his two sons, Dennis (Jan) Nevois, of Belleville, Illinois, and Darryl L. Blackston, of Summerfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Angela (Christopher) Sheridan and Brandon Blackston; his great-granddaughter , Guinevere; his sister Nancy (John) Biggins of North Port, Florida; his brother Robert (Pat) Blackston, of Belleville, Illinois; his brother-in-law, Steve (Teresa) Jines, of Smithton, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services were held privately with Lake View Funeral Home and interment was held in Lake View Memorial Garden, Fairview Heights, Illinois
