Roger N. Beauregard, 74, affectionately and widely known as “Pop”, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 19, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Carol M. (Gray) Beauregard. Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Alfred and Anna (Lagasse) Beauregard, he grew up in Acushnet and lived in New Bedford before moving to Fairhaven in 1974.
Mr. Beauregard was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School, class of 1955. He worked as a receiver at Brittney Dye and Printing for many years until his retirement in 2001. Pop was a highly skilled finish carpenter who was known for his exceptional wood working talents. An avid photographer, he enjoyed spending time on the internet, photo editing, making home movies and listening to music. Pop loved the times shared with his family at their many family functions.
Survivors include his children, Doreen M. Beauregard and her husband Paul of Salem, David Beauregard and his wife Laura of Wareham and Jennifer A. Botelho and her husband Steven of Fairhaven; a sister, Pauline Beauregard of Freetown; grandchildren, Kelly, Christopher, Rebecca, Heather and Alyssa; a great-grandson, Jordan; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 9am from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church, 74 Spring St., Fairhaven.
