Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Joseph and Ella (Tripp) Williams he grew up there and had been living in Fairhaven for the last 40 years.
Mr. Williams served in the United States Air Force. He later worked as a printer for Hiller Printing in New Bedford. Bob was a handy man who could tinker with and fix just about anything.
In his younger years, he was a very active sportsman. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball with other local young men. Bob also enjoyed watching the New England sports teams.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Sharon Williams of New Bedford, Robert Smith of Fairhaven, Ellen Brown of Fairhaven, and Robin Williams of New Bedford.
His services are private and under the care of WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven.
